From the time I planted my first Irises at age 10, I have loved to garden.  Since then I have spent many hours, days and years creating beautiful gardens that nurture my soul and give respite to others.

 

As an active gardener I have come to understand one thing from my association with my various gardens:  Each and every time I enter my garden I feel instantly better.  If I am sad, my sadness goes away ... if I am happy, I feel more serene and content.  It is this growing awareness that is at the root of my garden design service.  My company is based on the idea that much of the problems we see with our global environment stems from how little connection we as modern humans have with the natural world.  Our gardens can help us to reconnect with the beauty and soulfulness of nature.  When we nurture a plant from seed, pick organic strawberries throughout the summer or watch as the daffodils we planted bloom in the spring, we experience a deep satisfaction and wonderment at the glory of the natural world. This process is critically important for our children to be a part of. 

 

At the same time, our gardens give us an opportunity to excercise our bodies and calm our minds.  Many people don't know that gardening burns more calories than most any other forms of excercise.  While I am content to design and install my client's gardens, I am also a teacher that enjoys encouraging their participation as the benefits are boundless.  After you have spent a morning working in your garden, you will come to understand this.  You will sleep better at night for serenity of being in your garden and for the work you did during the day.

 

My job is to bring my considerable design and gardening skills to you in your garden and make it safe for you to venture into your garden to learn again about the natural world ... just like when you were a child.  I bring my boundless enthusiasm for the beauty of the natural world to teach you as much as you want to learn in as much time as your schedule will allow.  Imagine sending your friends home with produce and flowers from your garden ... the earth's bounty is available to us right now!  Let's get started so we can share this great bounty with our communities and loved ones.

 

I have experienced, competent associates for any tree sculpting and removal, brush removal, irrigation installation, major terracing and rock wall building that your project may require.  Because these services are added on an 'as needed' basis, I am able to offer you very competitive fees for my services.  I review your project for no charge and provide you with a detailed budget for your approval.
